Dream interpretation asked: Dream from 20 years ago still haunts me?
I stand in a large ballroom, red carpet on the floor. Tables are arranged with white cloth and stacked with crystal and silverware. Although it is a room, it feels as if it stretches forever, and I clench the hand of my mother by my side. I know that I am dressed in formal clothing, full of frills, black in color. My mother wears a dress, but I cannot remember the color it had.
I know I am smaller than my mother, reaching to her waist.
Above the tables are chandeliers, large crystal chandeliers spreading a subdued yellow light. The room seems bright.
Then, I notice a creature sitting on the chandelier; it is small and deformed. It is ugly and dark. It is looking down in the room, and looking at the people, as if observing them.
As its gaze travels, it notices I can see it. Instinctively, I point at the creature and say “Mommy, there’s a creature on the chandelier”.
As I say this, the creature opens its eyes real wide and screams loudly, and I wake up.

I had no real regrets or tragedies in my life.
The room does not remind me of something, and I have no pets. I had not moved recently before the dream.

Looking back at the eight years before the dream happened, I have to say I cannot fathom what it might have been which left the impression.
Not being a Christian, I never went to church. I cannot remember any weddings (the most fitting theme to the ballroom) or public event.
I feel the dream does have some effect, because ever since I had it, I felt “cut-off” from myself and uneasy. What happened or why I do not know, but I know deep in my heart that the dream (or the event it alludes to) is “guilty” of this feeling.
I have never been easy to intimidate and was independent and quiet. And although I have had many more dreams and nightmares, some of which have been foretelling, only this one jumps at me and refuses to lie still.

i cannot help you as much as you can help yourself, but i will try my best to lead you to those answers.
is there anything in your past that you regret?
do you have anyfears?
is your mother still alive? or is your father still alive?
do you have any pets or animals living near you?

Seek God, that’s a dream about your gift and a evil spirit is that monster. He screams when you shed the light on him. Because he don’t want you to know he’s affecting you or your someone around you.
(I usually don’t do this, but hey, its a gift:D)

I’m not sure but whenever I move house I always get a wierd dream about random stuff.
is there something that follows the dream during the next few days?

I can only tell you that your dream is similar to mine and I know why I’m having it, it’s because in my past I’ve been hurt by someone and I needed my mother but she didn’t come on time. Even today she blames herself for it and secretly I do too, so I think that in the moment when I manage to get over it I’ll stop having that same dream that I have occasionally.

I do not usually delve into this area because it sounds crazy and many people do not believe in an existence beyond what they can see and feel but…
Because the dream had such an incredible impression on you and has made you feel strange and “cut off” from yourself it makes me wonder if the creature was more than a dream. I say this because you say there was nothing in your life at that point that would have made you create such a creature in your own mind. It certainly does sound like something from outside yourself and it may still be with you.
I am taking a risk saying this because people will probably think I’m nuts and givesme thumbs down or whatever but I’m telling you this because it might help. It will be a long journey if you choose to go down this path of investigation but what the hell…what else are you going to do, right? If you haven’t already, learn a bit about metaphysics and the 7 planes of existence. This may well lead you to a place where you can figure out what that creauture was, what the dream was all about and what it all means.
If that’s a bit beyond what you’d consider sane then try lucid dreaming. You can teach yourself to do this by regularly asking yourself “Am I dreaming?” and, eventually you will find that you are dreaming. This is when you can start to control the dream. Once you’ve done this a few times try to take yourself back to that time and place and look at it anew with the wisdom and experience that you have gained in the last 20 years. Who knows, you may find your answer.
The book Astral Dynamics by Robert Bruce may help. I found it interesting at least.
also this book. Haven’t read it but have heard good things.
